MinebeaMitsumi offers a wide range of battery ICs, supporting configurations from single-cell to multi-cell battery packs. Designed using a high-voltage CMOS process, MinebeaMitsumi ICs provide comprehensive protection for rechargeable Lithium-ion and Lithium-polymer batteries. The MM3783 series are protection ICs manufactured using a high-voltage CMOS process, designed for overcharge, overdischarge, overcurrent, and temperature protection of rechargeable lithium-ion or lithium-polymer batteries. They support detection of overcharge, overdischarge, discharging overcurrent, charging overcurrent, short-circuit conditions, and three-level temperature protection using an NTC thermistor, specifically for 3-cell lithium-ion or lithium-polymer batteries. The internal circuitry includes a voltage detector, reference voltage source, delay time control circuit, and logic circuitry. A low-cost and compact system configuration can be achieved when the MM3783 series is combined with our existingMM3474 series, enabling protection for applications with 6 cells or more.
